Say hello, interns!

As your first post to the blog, I’d like you, the interns, to make a short post telling us a little about yourself and a bit – just a bit – about what you plan to write about.  Which exhibition?  Art or curatorial critique?  Academic or journalistic?  Tell me what you’re thinking.

I am considering to write a journalistic one. It should be a curatorial critique I suppose. I want to report and give some comments on Chinabear Chinaman.

  2. Livia Says:

    hello!!!! ^^
i choose to write a curatorial critique on the chinesebear chinaman, because I have more feeling on the artist’s idea on selling artwork……

  3. Natasha Says:

A journalistic curatorial critique! I trust you are on the way to somewhere promising. Anything to note or watch out about this genre of art writing, Dr. Brandon?

  4. Hugo Lee Says:

I would like to write an article about Underneath the Tree. I am going to introduce the Subject of the exhibition and the issue related to the artworks.

Hi! I am thinking to write an essay on the effect of art on mental, would be great to focus on the art therapy and its merit, as I find out that this is a great practice for all people, no matter they are in what age group.

Hi, this is Map, Visual Studies Year 2. Sorry for leaving this message late. ( To Brandon: haha…I promised that I will write something…indeed, this is what I have to do^^”)

I haven’t attended the exhibition that launched by 1a Space, so I have surfed the internet and found that I want to say something about the exhibition of “Chinabear and Chinaman”.

What I am going to write is about the promotion of art and culture in Hong Kong. As Lam (the artist) is now making art as “commodity”. Arts in Lam are being commodified. Someone may think that it may distort the meaning of “art”. However, I personally think that he is finding ways to promote art since Hong Kong is lack of this kind of supporting art and culture.
